    UWC Outreach Program

The University of Texas' Undergraduate Writing Center has begun a new outreach program to facilitate writers beyond the university by connecting to Austin's literary non-profit groups. Beginning in the summer of 2008, The UWC teamed up with the Badgerdog Literary Publishing's Creative Writing program and the Austin Bat Cave to offer university workshops to young creative writers.

The first workshop, the Pagecast Project, utilizes the UT's Computer and Writing Research Labs (CWRL) and the GarageBand program to introduce the students to digital publication by translating their their creative vision into music, images, and their own voice recordings.
